1. The safety technical requirements for distribution transformers installed on columns The distance between the transformer base and the ground should not be less than 2.5m, and all iron parts should be grounded.  The height of the exposed conductive part from the ground should be at least 3.5m.
The transformer base should be fixed to the platform, and the upper part should be fixed to the pole with metal fittings The upper and lower leads of the transformer should be insulated with multiple strands of wire. The distance between the high-voltage drop out fuse and the ground should not be less than 4m, and the distance between the middle and edge phases of the high-voltage fuse should not be less than 0.5m. The angle between the centerline of the ceramic component of the high-voltage fuse and the perpendicular line should be 250-300 A warning sign reading 'No Climbing, High Voltage Danger!' should be hung.
2. Safety technical requirements for outdoor floor mounted distribution transformers
The foundation of a floor standing transformer should be 0.2m above the ground. If it is located in a flooded area, drainage channels should be set up around the transformer; A brick and stone fence should be set around the transformer, with a height of not less than 1.8m. The door of the fence should be made of refractory materials and designed on the low-voltage side of the transformer. The door should open outward and be locked. Bamboo and wooden fences should not be used.
The transformer shall be installed in a pedestal (pier) style, and the height of the pedestal (pier) shall not be less than 2.5m. ⑶ When two or more transformers are installed outdoors, the distance between their casings shall not be less than 1.25m.
The transformer casing should be properly grounded.
The distance between the transformer and combustible buildings should not be less than 5m, and the distance from fire-resistant buildings should not be less than 3m.
Hang warning signs reading 'Stop, high voltage danger' on the walls or platforms (piers).
3. The safety technical requirements for indoor installed distribution transformers: ⑴ There should be good natural ventilation indoors. ⑵ The fire resistance level of the transformer room should be level one.
The net distance between the outer contour of the transformer and the rear and side walls should not be less than 0.6m, and the net distance from the door should not be less than 0.8m; The doors and windows of the transformer room should all open outward, and there should be louvers below the doors and windows.
