Establishing a new neutral grounding system in a three-phase transformer can eliminate common mode interference and other neutral line troubles in the power grid. The three-phase transformer converts the three wire △ connection to a four wire Y0 system, and adding shielding further eliminates high-frequency pulse interference and noise coupled inside the transformer. Although shielded three-phase transformers can effectively prevent various N-G interferences (pulses and high-frequency noise), the transformer must be properly grounded, otherwise anti common mode interference will be ineffective.
